My feelings
I've got a new years resolution
I think I know what I've gotta do
I've got a new years resolution getttin over you
I've got some old friends I think I'm losing
I've got some new ones that I'm not talking to
But all of my new years resolutions are getting old to you
So here's to the love
The love that we had
Here's to the time
The good and the bad
Here's to the ones you never forget
Here's to the year that we had
I gotta find a new solution
For all of the ghosts that keep haunting me
I gotta get some absolution
For all I failed to be
So here's to the love
The love that we had
Here's to the time
The good and the bad
Here's to the ones you never forget
Here's to the year that we had
The break ups
The makeups
The birth and the death
The peaceful solution that war never helps
The mistakes you make the heart you break
A memory that never goes away
I've got a new years resolution
I think I know what I've gotta do
So here's to the love
The love that we had
Here's to the time
The good and the bad
Here's to the friends you never forget
So here's to the love
The love that we shared
And when it all ends we're never prepared
Here's to the friends you never forget
Here's to the year that we had
Here's to the year that we had
Here's to the year that we had
I happened on this song while searching for stuff on another future post I wanted to write. It is a really good song that gives me goosebumps just hearing it.
I've had so much going on lately that isn't the kind of stuff I would post about but this song is one of those things that has to be shared.
Better, more happy posts to come in the future.

Holiday Recipe
Cen posted a challenge for all bloggers to share some favorite holiday recipes and since this doesn't require photoshop skills I am happy to accept the challenge.
This recipe isn't the exact recipe my family has always used but it's close. Ham loaf is a tradition on my family being New Englanders with English/ French ancestry. I remember my greatgrandmother, grandmother, and mother all making this during any family holiday. Being the baby of the family my job was basting the ham loaf with the glaze periodically throughout the baking, thus increasing the yummy aroma all over the house and increasing appetites of anyone with a sense of smell.
Spiced Ham Loaf
Ingredients
1 3/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
6 slices soft bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 1/2 pound ground ham
1 pound ground beef
***Apple Cider Sauce***
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
3 cups apple cider, or no-sugar-added apple juice
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons cornstarch, PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, eggs, brown sugar, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Add the bread cubes, ham and beef. Blend well; shape a loaf. Place in a large loaf pan or onto a roasting pan.
Bake at 350 until firm and lightly browned, about 90 minutes. Meat should reach an internal temperature of 175 to 180 degrees on a meat thermometer.
Remove from oven. Let rest 15 minutes, allowing the juices to settle, before slicing.
Slice and serve with warm Apple Cider Sauce.
Note: Ground ham may be purchased at the meat counter at many markets or you may make your own by mincing leftover baked ham in a food processor or grinder.
For Apple Cider Sauce: Combine the brown sugar, apple cider, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Separately dissolve the cornstarch in the water. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the boiling apple cider mixture, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove the sauce from heat. Stir in the lemon juice. Serve with Spiced Ham Loaf or Baked Ham.
Note: Because the sweetness of ciders varies, be prepared to adjust the amount of sugar to taste.

Memories
*Warning* heartfelt mushiness ahead.... you have been warned.
This is my final goodbye to Galateia Vhargon, my sl sis, one of my best friends and closest confidant, who is missed by so many people. She was hit and killed by a car in RL while walking to the corner store on November 30th, 2008.
Gala first became part of my sl when she was a regular at TK Club, a PG club that I was a DJ at (I know, I know hard to believe *I* was working a PG club, sometimes weird things happen) she became a host there eventually.
We lost touch and ran into each other at a mutual friends hip hop club and got to talking about clothes and stores like we did back at TK. Once again, we were back on track. She was one of those friends we all have who, even though we may not be in their daily lives and can lose touch it's easy to fall back into the familiarity of talking and by the end of one conversation we were close friends once again.
In our SLives we will lose touch with people close to our hearts, it just happens for one reason or another. Schedules change, RL needs attending to more then it used to, some time away from SL, and many more reasons to numerous to list. Gala and I made the effort to always keep in touch despite some absences on both our parts and it was always picking up where we left off, the closeness was always there.
The memorial that Payten Harrop organized was very touching. He really did a great job in expressing all the thoughts I was too upset to voice. Thank you , Payten, very well done.
This is a very difficult post to write. I've always had this vision of having a lighthearted blog on fun randomness. Some posts just need to be written, this post is one of them.
Gala was such a sweet person with excellent fashion sense. She knew some great stores and could put together an incredible outfit with very little effort.
She never failed to make me laugh with her sense of humor. Or the goofing we did while posing for pics.
I'm blessed to have Gala as my sis. She will be missed. Her presence in my sl made my sl so much better.
My memories of Gala with always be fond and funny. I have no room in my heart for doubts and questions about things I have no power to find answers to, I do know that the person Gala was to me is the person who is no longer a part of my sl and I will miss her terribly. With much sadness I say a fond farewell to my sis Gala. May she rest with angels.

These are a few of my favorite things....
My BFF Lilibeth and her blunt honesty.

Hanging out with the lovlies. Especially when Carverr, my brother, is on the decks, mixing some great house music.

Hump day parties and all the craziness that ensues. The Ch'Know group is a fantastically talented bunch of people. Ali,I can't thank you enough for inviting me into your group and all the wonderful support you've shown me. Ch'Knowers you guys rock in everything you do.

My most prized possesion the AFK ring. Sadly I don't use it as often as I should.

Those quiet moments in beautiful places with Bon.

May your holidays be filled with your favorite things and special moments.

Groovin along
I am thankful for time zone differences and the crazy kindness of my brit friend.
Meet Lolly (the Lollers) and MJ (nobody calls me MaryJane) two of my recent friends. They make me thankful for those nights when there is so much goin on in my head and I can't sleep because they are online and a group of us go club hopping.
I've discovered friends along the way, some genres of music I would have never thought I would like, and gotten to dust off my gestures and actually use them again .

Sharing time
So many things going around in my head and this one song stuck throughout it all so I just have to share.
I've been in some kind of mood lately and this song just reminds me that sometimes life doesn't need to be happy to be the way it should be.
Sadness happens so that we can enjoy our happiness that much more.
Grief exists so that we can truly appreciate the joys in life.
Loneliness so we can be thankful for the love we are able to give and receive.
Wow this might be a post I end up taking down. =0 Not sure how fitting this is or how useful.
So I've been busy with RL most of the day but this post has been on my mind. I'm really tempted to take it down but instead I thought I would explain it a bit so I don't sound like the total loser I'm worried I actually sound like.
Sadness... for past mistakes, lost opportunities.
Grief... I've recently lost a family member to an unexpected heart attack this past Friday. I lost my best friend to cancer about a month ago.
Loneliness... I miss my best friends *tons* both Gina, who passed a month ago and my best friend from near where I used to live in Kansas. I'm also *extremely* shy and I am out of my depth in the city I live in now.
